New Mexico high school student wins First Place in Regeneron Science Talent Search 2020
A high school student from New Mexico won First Place and a $250,000 scholarship in the Regeneron Science Talent Search 2020 for Exemplary Research on Predicting Crop Yield. Lillian Petersen, 17, of Los Alamos, New Mexico won the top award. She was inspired by the food insecurity her adopted siblings had suffered. Usually this award goes to students at New Jersey, New York and California high schools.
