This is an intern position at the regional office of The Aerospace Corporation in Albuquerque:
The intern will assist employees in all assignments at Aerospace. The objective of the intern position is to expose the student worker to a variety of programs and tasks supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Air Force Advanced Systems and Development Directorate. This includes selected space systems engineering support, requirements review, data compilation and documentation, administrative tasks such as spreadsheet/power point assembly, attending review meetings and performing assigned independent research.
This is a full time paid position during the 2019 summer. It is anticipated that the intern will also work during the school year and school breaks. During the school year, work hours are negotiable around the student’s class schedule. During the school year some of the work can be done by telecommuting, but the student will be expected to periodically commute to our offices to work in Albuquerque.
Pending positive performance reviews, Aerospace will maintain the intern position throughout the intern's undergraduate college career. Also, via mutual agreement, Aerospace may help find opportunities for the intern at other Aerospace locations (such as Houston, Los Angeles, or Colorado Springs) during the following summers in order to provide a broader experience in the space industry and/or to engage the intern in their desired focus discipline.
*Qualifications: Aerospace is seeking applicants who will be starting their junior year in the fall of 2019 and are seeking a degree in the engineering/science tracks.
Aerospace will also review qualified rising seniors, but understand that our involvement and the intern's potential training would be shortened by a year, which is less desirable. If you are a rising senior planning to take 5 years to graduate (and therefore available for two summers) please indicate.
Please list your Major, your GPA and expected graduation date.
All applicants must be US citizen
